Thursday 4 April 2024, 6pm

Take a journey through history at the Museum as ROK Duo perform at their inaugural Australian performance on their 2024 international tour.

Former leaders of the Radom Chamber Orchestra in Poland, Marcin Krol and Lucjan Szalinski, will transport you to the heart of 19th and 20th century Eastern Europe, invoking the spirit of prewar Jewish Poland with their soul-stirring music.

Watch history come to life through evocative musical storytelling, in this unforgettable evening celebrating the resilience, heritage, and enduring power of Jewish music, which is part of our 2024 Musical Portraits series.

Your ticket to ROK Duo includes complimentary refreshments, a pass to explore the Museum, as well as a chance to hear the stories of our local community of Polish descent at 6pm, before the show starts at 7pm.

This event is held in honour of Henry Pollack, with sponsorship by the Henry Pollack Foundation. Musicians’ travel has been generously sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Republic of Poland.
