This year, our space will come alive with enchanting musical portraits of Jewish people and culture, through a lineup of diverse and internationally acclaimed artists. Audiences will be transported across the globe and through time during these evocative performances, each illuminating a different element of Judaism and Jewish life.
A ticket to events within this series includes complimentary refreshments, as well as a pass to explore the Museum and all of our exhibitions from 6pm, before the show starts at 7pm.
Thursday 20 June
A delightful evening of chamber music with Notturno, an ensemble of flute, viola, and guitar, that will take you to the cosy salons of pre-war Europe. Throughout the evening, the ensemble will also showcase selected compositions by emerging Sydney composers – each highlighting a unique Jewish figure chosen by the artist.

Accompanied by a small ensemble, Lichtenberg seamlessly combines music, poetry, and spoken word to provide a powerful and immersive multimodal experience while she delves into her own family’s Holocaust history, including her family’s experiences in Theresienstadt.

Miriam Lieberman is a Jewish artist known for her powerful voice and richly textured songwriting. Her intricate melodies, accompanied by the luscious harmonies of Susie Bishop and Lara Goodridge, moved and transported our audience.

ROK Duo performed at the Museum as part of their inaugural Australian performance on their 2024 international tour. The Duo took us to the heart of 19th and 20th-century Eastern Europe, invoking the spirit of prewar Jewish Poland with their soul-stirring music.
