This ceremony will commemorate the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, The Night of Broken Glass.
Kristallnacht marked the onset of the Holocaust. Nazi forces set fire to about 1,000 synagogues, destroyed 7,000 Jewish owned businesses, arrested 30,000 Jews and murdered 91 in Germany and Austria.
The speakers for the evening are The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of NSW; Edward Santow, Australian Human Rights Commissioner; and Eddie Jaku OAM, Holocaust survivor who was in Germany on the night of Kristallnacht.
