This series of lectures will examine education in times of national disasters and calamity in Jewish History.
Education is a fundamental human need. But what happens when this need clashes with other social demands or when it is threatened to be restricted in means and content? How does the character of education and its role in society change in times of crises?
These online lectures are held in conjunction with Sydney University’s Department of Hebrew, Biblical and Jewish Studies and Mandelbaum House.
