This workshop focuses on the nature and development of human rights through a consideration of the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the immediate context of the Holocaust and World War II.
Students will contemplate the creation of the Declaration as a reflection of changing values and ethical standards as well as the implementation of this non-legal document in protecting human rights in the contemporary world.
