This lesson encourages students to consider the rare people who acted to protect Jews during the Holocaust. These people have been honoured by the Yad Vashem museum in Israel as ‘Righteous Among the Nations’. Students will participate in a semi-scripted panel interview show, and engage with the histories of Oskar Schindler, Chiune Sugihara and others. Students will be encouraged to consider the importance of values in making choices, and the power of individual people to effect change through their choices.
