Description
When the Third Reich came to power, life in Germany altered at a rapid rate. Many areas of life were impacted, including cultural expression, religious practice, and the lives of youth and minority groups. Another social group that was particularly impacted was women.
In this lesson focused on the impact of the Nazi regime on women, students will engage in practical source analysis, honing the skills needed to successfully answer the type of questions students are likely to see in the final exam for this topic.
After being introduced to the topic, students engage with the provided source pack by completing a TOMAC PRU on each of the 5 sources.
Following, students complete three exam-style questions based on these sources.
This lesson plan also includes an optional extension activity focused on Leni Riefenstahl.
