Support the Sydney Jewish Museum

The Sydney Jewish Museum needs your help to continue to educate and inspire students and general visitors on the history of the Holocaust and the important messages of Holocaust survivors.

Whether it is a donation towards a specific project, a Museum membership, or giving of your time, there are many ways that you can contribute to the Museum’s mission.

Donate to the Museum

Like all museums, the Sydney Jewish Museum cannot survive on membership and entry fees alone. The Museum doesn’t receive Government funding, so support through donations is vital in ensuring the Museum can continue its important work.

Donations may take the form as once-off donations or funding of special projects. For a once-off donation, follow the link below. To fund a special project, please contact Rita Prager at rprager@sjm.com.au or 02 9360 7999.

Become a Museum member

The support of the Museum’s community of members is essential to ensure we can continue to educate and inspire students, teachers and general visitors on the history of the Holocaust and the important messages of Holocaust survivors.

Museum membership starts at $35 a year. Members enjoy benefits including unlimited free entry to the Museum year-round and free access to weekly lectures.

Leave a gift in your will

Major gifts, endowments and bequests help ensure the future sustainability of the Museum, and they serve to perpetuate a donor’s family name or honour a loved one.

For a confidential discussion or more information, please contact Rita Prager at rprager@sjm.com.au or 02 9360 7999.

Donate an object to the collection

The Museum is home to some remarkable artefacts, each carefully documented, researched and preserved, safeguarding the community’s heritage for posterity. It is through the generosity of the community that the collection continues to flourish.

The Museum accepts donations of artefacts, documents, letters, photographs, film and testimony related to the Holocaust, Judaism and Australian Jewish history.
