Barbara found her home as part of an Aboriginal family and with her husband Norman, an Aboriginal pastor and artist, travels the world with messages of social justice and reconciliation. Barbara says, “the stork dropped me at the wrong house’.

In this riveting memoir she explores race relations and social change.

Barbara has visited Israel many times and led a group for the 100th anniversary of Be’er-Sheva. Barbara also wrote the book William Cooper Gentle Warrior: Standing Up for Australian Aborigines and Persecuted Jews which was launched at the Museum and also attended the ceremony when William Cooper was honoured by Yad Vashem.
