April - September 2017
The Battle of Beersheba was one of the most famous horse mounted battles of all time. This exhibition marks the centenary and showcases the ANZAC trail in southern Israel, tracing the footsteps of the Australian Light Horse leading up to the battle.
The Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Australia, the custodians of the ANZAC Trail, bring the story of the battle to life through diaries, maps and photographs of Trooper Ernest Paul of the 12th Australian Light Horse Regiment.
We invite you to come and discover where the close relationship between Australia and Israel began.
This exhibition is supported by the Australian Light Horse Association and the family of Trooper P.L. Townsend.
