Submission to Chai-Lights collecting platform

By submitting materials to the Sydney Jewish Museum via the Chai-Lights collecting platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The Donor is the unencumbered owner or agent of this item/s.
  2. The property listed in your submission to the Sydney Jewish Museum is an unconditional gift.
  3. It is recognised that the donation will cause a legal transfer of ownership to the Sydney Jewish Museum.
  4. The Donor does not retain the right of revocation. The Sydney Jewish Museum will grant supervised access to the item/s for the Donor and family members if requested and notice is provided.
  5. The Sydney Jewish Museum will have the right to display, loan or otherwise deal with the item/s at its discretion.
  6. It is understood that display depends upon exhibition requirements and it not guaranteed.
  7. The Donor grants permission for the item/s and its associated story and provenance to be digitised and reproduced for exhibition, study, research, publication and promotion on the Museum’s website, and other digital and social media platforms.
  8. The Donor will be acknowledged in all Museum use of the material in the standard format: Sydney Jewish Museum collection, donated by donor name.
  9. Following assessment of the material upon accession or otherwise, items determined to be outside of the Museum’s collecting criteria will be returned to the Donor or deaccessioned in accordance with the Museum’s Collection policy.
