Sydney Jewish Museum is closed to the general public for redevelopment. We remain open for school excursions and corporate groups.
M1994/004
Donated by Alfred Parker
Alfred Parker, originally Alfred Politzer, from Puchov in Slovakia, used the name and birth date of a non-Jewish school friend, Jozef Sebek, on this false identification card, unbeknown to the friend. The stamps on this document were obtained by bribing a police officer. As an added touch, Alfred is wearing a hat that is typical of the local Nazi youth.
Currently on display in the ghetto section of the permanent exhibition.
