Join a talk by a Holocaust survivor

This summer, we look forward to resuming our talk series with Holocaust survivors in the Museum. It is a unique chance to hear the stories of survivors’ childhoods, survival of the war, rebuilding their lives, and their outlooks on life.

Starting on Tuesday 21 December, we will run two talks with Holocaust survivors each week; on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am. Each session will be with a different survivor, as a chance to hear the diverse, moving stories from our survivor community in Sydney.

I’d like to attend

Attendance to these talks are included in the price of Museum admission. You don’t need to pre-book or pay any extra. All you need to do is arrive on the day and add your name to the list at the admissions desk prior to the 11am start.

When are the talks?

Survivor talks will be held on all Tuesdays and Thursdays between 21 December and 25 January, except for on 28 December, which is a public holiday.

Who will I hear?

Each session will entail a dynamic conversation between a different Holocaust survivor and one of our Museum Educators.

Due to the survivors’ age and the current health climate, we can’t always guarantee in advance which survivor you will hear from on a particular day. However, we will endeavour to share which survivors are speaking the day before.
