1.5 hours of NESA accredited training

Teaching the Holocaust in the classroom is a difficult task. It is daunting for anyone to consider the atrocities human and enacted on other humans. In this session, we will provide pedagogical tools and tips for teaching the Holocaust with sensitivity, depth, empathy and age-appropriateness. In addition, we will provide tools for analysing and interpreting different types of sources for evidence (including oral, written, visual and digital forms), evaluating differing interpretations and representations of the past, communicating concepts and terms with historical accuracy and for discussing contemporary issues involved in the investigation of history.
