Holocaust-related film is ubiquitous, but can it be incorporated into the classroom? In this session, we will identify and evaluate the usefulness of such sources in the historical inquiry process and demonstrate some of the methodological tools that teachers may need to consider when teaching this history with the aid of film. In particular, and will give special attention to Schindler’s List, The Pianist and Jojo Rabbit. Ultimately, we will have to ask ourselves: is the Holocaust beyond representation?
