By situating the NSDAP within a broader intellectual history, this seminar hopes to demonstrate those areas in which the National Socialists were radical and those areas in which they were part of a general, global trend. Self-styled as the party of scientists, how scientific was their thinking? As advocates of a police state, what was the basis of their focus on law enforcement?
