Two young women, both married to Rabbis who lead Synagogue communities in Sydney will share their views on how to follow traditional orthodox religion in a modern way. They will also discuss the recent spate of documentaries showing Jews in the spotlight of Ultra- orthodox communities
Hinda Young graduated from McGill University in Montreal with a Major in Classics and a Minor in Judaic studies. She taught Ancient Languages and Jewish Studies to children of all ages in New York City and Chicago before moving to Sydney in 2015. She is currently the Director of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Education. Her husband, Rabbi Benjamin Elton is the Chief Minister of The Great Synagogue. Her most recent job title is ‘mommy’ to a gorgeous daughter.
Chana Raizel Friedman is Sydney born and bred. She is an interior designer by profession and is a busy mum to 3 vibrant young children. Her husband Yossi Friedman is the Chief Minister of Maroubra Synagogue.
