Kristallnacht Commemoration

Category: .

Monday 9 November
7.30pm

Free

The annual ceremony commemorating Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass. On 9-10 November 1938, Nazi forces destroyed over 200 synagogues, damaged 7,000 Jewish-owned businesses, arrested 30,000 Jews, and murdered Jews in Germany, Austria and the Sudetenland.

In this online event, Dr Edith Eger, therapist, Holocaust survivor and renowned author, will be interviewed by Joanna Kalowski.

Dr Eger will focus on her experiences of survival and how this has helped her personally and in helping others develop resilience. She says, “Though I could have remained a permanent victim – scarred by what was beyond my control – I made the choice to heal.”
