Meeting a Holocaust survivor and hearing their testimony first hand is core to the work we do at the Sydney Jewish Museum. It is our mission to give history a voice. The further we move in time from the actual events, the fewer survivors we have to learn from first hand. The Sydney Jewish Museum is faced with a very important question: how we will continue to share our survivors’ stories into the future?
In December 2020, the museum embarked on an exciting project, Dimensions In Testimony, filming six Holocaust survivors with cutting edge technology. Please join our curator, Shannon Biederman, to find out more about this incredible project, which uses never-before-seen material to create life-like encounters with survivors. Shannon Biederman is Curator, Collections, at the Sydney Jewish Museum.
