Abraham Joshua Heschel was a Jewish theologian and philosopher with a social consciousness that led him to participate in the civil rights movement. His actions and philosophy were a direct reflection of the principal beliefs of Judaism. Heschel has a continued impact on both the Jewish and non-Jewish world and is internationally known as a scholar, author, activist, and theologian. This seminar will examine his continued impact.
