Hear Holocaust survivor Lilly Wolf tell her story of a death march through Hungary and later in a Swedish protected house.
Lilly was born into an adventurous, intrepid family in 1927 in Budapest, Hungary. Her family travelled to and from Africa for Lilly’s father’s work, and they decided to move back to Europe when her younger brother was born. When Hitler came to power, Lilly’s father was kicked out of Hungary. He went to Belgium, but was later deported to Auschwitz, where he was murdered. Lilly’s mother died that same year, leaving Lilly an orphan at age 14.
