A discussion as part of the 2019 Sydney Writers’ Festival with acclaimed Australian authors Jackie French AM and Morris Gleitzman. French and Gleitzman will talk about their respective books with the Holocaust as their subjects and how this difficult subject can be introduced to young readers.

Head of Community Stories at the Sydney Jewish Museum, Jacqui Wasilewsky, will introduce Holocaust survivors Beate Hammet, Jacqueline Dale and Kitty Lowinger, whose memoirs have also been published as books that young readers can relate to.

Dr Helen Lewis, author of the award-winning book The Dead Still Cry Out, will introduce the speakers.
