Remember Me is a unique opportunity to hear a personal account of the Holocaust by a Survivor. Our July speaker is Francine Lazarus.
“One of the few Belgian child Survivors of the Holocaust who now live in Australia, my war experiences are seen through the eyes of a child, whose tormentors vowed to kill every Jew, including me and my family.”
“I faced capture and death and experienced aching loneliness and deprivations that a small child could not comprehend, let alone overcome. Thanks to Resistance workers, brave strangers who hid me from the Nazis at the cost of separation, terror and hunger I survived to find my family decimated and endured rejection by those who remained.”
“So few of us Survivors are still alive it is imperative that we speak up now, before it is too late, and speak on behalf of the voiceless victims who were brutally and painfully murdered so that they are never forgotten.” – Francine Lazarus
