We are pleased to welcome internationally acclaimed author, Markus Zusak, to give a talk at the Sydney Jewish Museum.
Markus is the author of six books. His best known novel has since been adapted into an award winning film; The Book Thief was published in 2005 and has been translated into more than 30 languages. Beside winning awards in Australia and overseas, The Book Thief has held the number one position at Amazon.com and on the New York Times bestseller list, as well as in Brazil, Ireland and Taiwan, the UK, Spain, Israel and South Korea among many.
Markus Zusak was born in Sydney, Australia. His mother Lisa is originally from Germany and his father Helmut is from Austria. They immigrated to Australia in the late 1950s.
