Lunchtime Lecture – Rwanda and ‘the power of one’

N/A

Wednesday 30 October
1.15pm

FREE

In this thought-provoking lunchtime lecture Roz Levin and Jenny Stricker will talk about their recent humanitarian trip to Rwanda.

During their time with Citizens of Humanity they learnt how the ‘power of one’ one person or one foundation can make a fundamental difference, with a case study on the difference this power has made to the rebuilding of the country of Rwanda.

Bio

Jenny Stricker has completed the guiding course with the Sydney Jewish Museum and will commence guiding towards the end of the 2019. Her involvement with the Museum has encouraged her to do more study with regards to the Holocaust and genocide in general. She has recently returned from the Museum’s Poland tour, and earlier this year was a participant in the Citizens of Humanity tour to Rwanda.

Roz Levin has been a guide at the Sydney Jewish Museum for over 14 years. She helped plan and then attended the first Museum tour to Poland in 2009. She has completed the 10-day Holocaust course at Yad Vashem and also recently participated in the Citizens of Humanity tour to Rwanda.
