Professor Xu Xin will talk about the historical survey on the practice of Judaism in China: when Judaism came to China, what kind of organism of Judaism in China was established at the different stages of the practice.
XU XIN is also the professor of the Department of Philosophy and Department of Religious Studies and Director of the Glazer Institute of Jewish Studies at Nanjing University, People’s Republic of China, is also President of the China Judaic Studies Association and Vice President of the China Middle East Association.
He was raised up in Nanjing and graduated as an English major from Nanjing University in 1977 and began to teach at the university since then. He is author of Legends of the Chinese Jews of Kaifeng, Anti-Semitism: How and Why, A History of Western Culture, The Jews of Kaifeng, China: History, Culture, Religion and A History of Jewish Culture and numerous articles.
