In NAIDOC week, join us at the Museum to hear the stories of three Holocaust survivors and their experiences of being healed by Australia.
After the devastation of the Holocaust, many survivors wanted to start a new life as far from Europe as possible. For many, Australia was a safe haven to start a new life. But it wasn’t always easy: the food was different, the language foreign, and the sunshine blaring. Regardless, the catharsis of migration to the great southern land was the catalyst for healing for many survivors.
