The Sydney Jewish Museum is proud to launch The Prince of Frogs’ Lane, an illustrated book for young readers based on the diary of Holocaust survivor Paul Gero.
This book tells a tale of a Jewish world prior to the ravages of WWI and the Holocaust. It reveals a more innocent time. Paul’s life is one of economic poverty but communal and familial wealth, showing the depth of cultural, educational and religious life of Hungarian Jews in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
This is the fifth in what the Museum hopes will be an extensive series of books published by Community Stories with the specific aim of being suitable to introducing the Holocaust to readers of a tender age.
This is a free event but bookings are essential.
