Tuesday 30 March
Join us at the Museum for our first Teachers’ Network of 2021!
This network will feature a workshop lead by Mark van Ommen and Kate Xavier from Together for Humanity, and will support you in developing skills in intercultural competence in the classroom. Increasing the intercultural competence of students leads to improvements in their wellbeing, engagement and learning.
Based on research and our experience of working with schools for almost two decades, we present several practical strategies that teachers can use with students and their school communities to facilitate intercultural understanding.
Skills covered include family engagement, curriculum for cultural competence, the aesthetic, challenging conversations and integrated intercultural experiences.
