Teachers’ Network – NESA Approved Professional Development

N/A

Wednesday 14 August
4 – 7pm

FREE

For our Term 3 networking event, we welcome teachers from across New South Wales to engage with one another, and with two interesting speakers that we have lined up: Professor Tim Allender and Thomas Keneally AO.

The afternoon will begin with nibbles and an official launch of our new Museum membership program tailored specially for teachers. One lucky teacher will win a free Teacher Membership for a year.

Professor Tim Allender, Professor and Chair of History and Curriculum at the University of Sydney, will discuss Historical Thinking for Historical Teachers, a masterful publication that he co-edited and published earlier this year. This will be a great opportunity to unpack the new curriculum with an expert.

Thomas Keneally AO, award-winning author of Schindler’s Ark and A Country Too Far, will talk about the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.

This event is NESA approved, for 3 hours of professional development for NSW teachers.

RSVP required. Please fill in the form below.

For any questions or for more information, please contact the Education Department on 9360 7999.
