There will be a lecture at the Museum by Sandie Eldridge and Saskia Ilott from the Monkey Baa Theatre Company.

Wednesday 3rd of May at 1.00pm.

Monkey Baa Theatre Company has been creating theatre for young audiences based on great literature for the past 20 years and are currently adapting Morris Gleitzman’s Once, Then, Now books into an epic theatre experience.

In the lecture, Sandie Eldridge will explore the company’s writing and adaptation processes and address representing history through the medium of theatre. She will also discuss the challenges of creating work for young people that contains sensitive and confronting stories of The Holocaust. Sandie is an actor, director, writer and one of the co-founders and Creative Directors of Monkey Baa Theatre Company. She is a WAAPA graduate and holds a Masters in Directing (Practice) from CSU. 

Saskia Ilott is Monkey Baa’s Education Manager and she has been an arts educator for more than 15 years. Originally an actor, she completed a Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting) at NIDA and a Bachelor of Secondary Education at CSU.
