Sunday 3 September at 6pm

The Australian Jewish Historical Society together with the Sydney Jewish Museum, invite you to view the current exhibition Battle of Beersheba followed by an address from Sam Lipski AM, Audacity and Watershed, on the charge of the Australian Light Horse at Beersheba 31 October, 1917.

The Battle of Beersheba was one of the most famous horse mounted battles of all time. This exhibition marks the centenary and showcases the ANZAC trail in southern Israel, tracing the footsteps of the Australian Light Horse leading up to the battle.

The Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Australia, the custodians of the ANZAC Trail, bring the story of the battle to life through diaries, maps and photographs of Trooper Ernest Paul of the 12th Australian Light Horse Regiment.

Sam Lipski AM is a distinguished Australian journalist. He has worked as the editor-in-chief of the Australian Jewish News, a reporter and columnist for The Age, The Australian, The Bulletin and The Sydney Morning Herald. He is currently the Chief Executive of The Pratt Foundation.

Booking essential. Please RSVP by email to rsvp@sjm.com.au or call 9360 7999.
