The Sydney Jewish Museum will be hosting a book launch for Escape from Berlin written by Peter Nash.

Peter Nash (Nachemstein) was born in Berlin. He was among 18,000 European Jews who escaped Nazi persecution during WW2 by fleeing to Shanghai, where no entry visa was required and thereafter to Australia. Peter researched the fate of close family in Europe and found dozens were lost and only three survived. He also researched and found living Nachemstein and extended family around the world.

Andrew Jakubowicz, Professor of Sociology at the University of Technology Sydney, will introduce the launch.
