Product Description
Linda’s journey begins with a protected childhood during the war years in North Wales. The distant but dutifully guiding hand of her father moved the family to Australia in the early 50s, where he died an untimely death, and where Linda’s education came to an abrupt end. Friendships made through B’nai B’rith lead to her meeting John Rector whom she would marry. When their three children were grown up, Linda undertook the great adventure of her life – going to university and doing a fine arts degree. From there she began a career in the Historic Houses Trust of NSW, which culminated in her long association with Harry Siedler for whom she curated the Rose Seidler House.
After her retirement, Linda continued to pursue her passion for painting, travel, public speaking and enjoying her five grandchildren.
